What Psst is
Psst gives you a link. Anyone who opens it can send you a message without saying who they are. You read those messages in an inbox that only your secret link opens.
Your inbox link is your only key
There is no password, so the secret link in your address bar is the entire security of your account. Anyone who has it can read and delete your messages. Do not post it, do not screenshot it, and add an email in Settings so we can send it back to you if you lose it. If you lose it and have no email saved, we cannot recover your inbox. We have no way to prove it was yours.
Rules
Do not use Psst to:
- Threaten, harass or bully anyone.
- Encourage anyone to hurt themselves.
- Send sexual content, or anything sexual involving a minor.
- Share someone's private information, address or photos without permission.
- Impersonate a real person or organisation.
- Send spam, advertising, links or scams.
- Automate sending, scrape the site or attack it.
Messages that break these rules are removed and never delivered. Accounts used to break them are deleted without warning.
Anonymous is not untraceable. If someone uses Psst to make a credible threat, we cooperate with the police, and Cloudflare holds network logs we do not. Do not mistake anonymity for permission.
Age
You must be at least 13 to use Psst. If you are under 18, please read Safety before you share your link anywhere.
Free and Pro
Receiving messages is free and unlimited, permanently. It is not a trial and it will not become paid later.
Pro is $4.99 a month or $29.99 a year and adds cosmetic and convenience features. It is billed monthly or yearly, never weekly. Cancel any time and it runs to the end of the period you paid for. Payment is handled by Polar.
Pro will never include telling you who sent a message, because that is not something anyone can honestly sell.
We can close an account
We may remove a username or delete an account that breaks the rules above, or that impersonates someone. If you paid for Pro and we close your account for something other than a rule breach, we refund the unused part.
No guarantees
Psst is provided as it is. We do not promise it will always be available or that a message will always arrive. Do not use it for anything that matters urgently.
Changes
If we change these terms in a way that matters, the date at the top changes and we say so on the site. Continuing to use Psst means the new terms apply.
