What Yiti is
Yiti gives you a link. Anyone who opens it can send you a message without saying who they are. You read those messages in an inbox that only your secret link opens.
Your inbox link is your only key
There is no password, so the secret link in your address bar is the entire security of your account. Anyone who has it can read and delete your messages. Do not post it, do not screenshot it, and add an email in Settings so we can send it back to you if you lose it. If you lose it and have no email saved, we cannot recover your inbox. We have no way to prove it was yours.
Publishing answers
You can publish any message you receive along with your reply, and it then appears on your link page for anyone to read. The rules below apply to what you publish exactly as they apply to what people send you: being the owner of the page is not permission to put a slur on it. Published answers are filtered the same way messages are.
You can take anything down at any time.
Sending a message
If you send someone a message, they may publish it together with their answer. Nothing about you is published, and there is nothing about you for us to publish, but the words you wrote can become public. Write accordingly.
Invites
Bringing someone in earns you free time on Pro. One reward per person per device, so making accounts on your own phone earns you one month and not ten. Accounts created to farm rewards are removed along with the rewards.
Rules
Do not use Yiti to:
- Threaten, harass or bully anyone.
- Encourage anyone to hurt themselves.
- Send sexual content, or anything sexual involving a minor.
- Share someone's private information, address or photos without permission.
- Impersonate a real person or organisation.
- Send spam, advertising, links or scams.
- Automate sending, scrape the site or attack it.
Messages that break these rules are removed and never delivered. Accounts used to break them are deleted without warning.
Anonymous is not untraceable. If someone uses Yiti to make a credible threat, we cooperate with the police, and Cloudflare holds network logs we do not. Do not mistake anonymity for permission.
Age
You must be at least 13 to use Yiti. If you are under 18, please read Safety before you share your link anywhere.
Free and Pro
Receiving messages is free and unlimited, permanently. It is not a trial and it will not become paid later.
Pro is not on sale yet. There is no way to pay us for anything today, and every account currently has Pro at no cost. When it does go on sale it will be $4.99 a month or $29.99 a year, billed monthly or yearly and never weekly, cancellable at any time and running to the end of the period paid for.
Pro will never include telling you who sent a message, because that is not something anyone can honestly sell.
We can close an account
We may remove a username or delete an account that breaks the rules above, or that impersonates someone. If you paid for Pro and we close your account for something other than a rule breach, we refund the unused part.
No guarantees
Yiti is provided as it is. We do not promise it will always be available or that a message will always arrive. Do not use it for anything that matters urgently.
Changes
If we change these terms in a way that matters, the date at the top changes and we say so on the site. Continuing to use Yiti means the new terms apply.
